KOOLMAT® HEATMASTER™ C5 CORVETTE TUNNEL HEAT SHIELD
Installation Instructions
Before You Begin:
Read instructions thoroughly. Understand all processes involved.
Raise and support vehicle as described in your owner's manual. DO NOT jack on fiberglass floor pans or nose.

1.

 Remove the exhaust intermediate pipe (catalytic converter pipe).
  CAUTION: THE REAR OXYGEN SENSORS ARE ATTACHED TO THIS PIPE! MARK THE CONNECTORS AND UNPLUG THEM BEFORE LOWERING PIPE FROM CAR.
(you do not need to remove sensors from the pipe). Use care when removing the pipe so you do not damage front or rear pipe gaskets. These will be reused.

2.

 Remove the screws from the tunnel close-out panel which correspond to the grommet holes in the HEATMASTER shield.

3.

 Attach the HEATMASTER Shield to the underside of the tunniel close-out panel. Tighten screws to 106 in. lb.

4.

 Re-install the exhaust intermediate pipe and reconnect the oxygen sensors. CAUTION: IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO CONNECT THE OXYGEN SENSORS TO THE PROPER CONNECTORS. DRIVEABILITY PROBLEMS WILL OCCUR IF SENSORS ARE NOT ATTACHED TO THEIR ORIGINAL CONNECTORS.
TIGHTEN HEADER FLANGE BOLTS TO 15 ft-lb.
TIGHTEN INTERMEDIATE-TO-REAR PIPE BOLTS TO 37 ft-lb.

5.

 Start engine and check for exhaust leaks. Installation is now complete.
